Nicole Rentz

Nicole is the Director of Market Development and Policy for New Columbia Solar, a solar developer specializing in commercial rooftops in the Mid-Atlantic region. Nicole leads government affairs and legislative/regulatory strategy for the company. Prior to joining New Columbia Solar in 2022, Nicole was Legislative Director for the District Department of Energy and Environment, and prior to that, she was Committee Director of the DC Council Committee on Transportation and Environment and Legislative Director for DC Councilmember Mary M. Cheh. Nicole is a graduate of Tulane University and received a J.D. from the George Washington University Law School. She lives in Washington, DC, with her husband, two sons, and dog, Cocoa.
