Rick Peters

Rick Peters is the President & CEO of Solar Energy Services, Inc, a regional solar contractor and EPC, based in Millersville, in Anne Arundel County, MD. As a long-time board member and former board president of CHESSA, Rick is heavily invested in the development of the DMV area’s solar industry. He holds a mechanical engineering degree from Marquette University and an MBA from the University of Maryland’s Smith School of Business. Rick served the US Navy as a civilian engineering project manager in submarine silencing and held various management positions for a Fortune 500 packaging manufacturer before a 9-year career in Information Technology services. In 2008 Rick partnered with SES’s founder Roger Perry to embark on a new career in solar energy. Rick is a husband and a father of two adult daughters. He enjoys his free time on the waterways of the Chesapeake, be it by boat, kayak, or paddleboard.
